A family with their first baby are looking for an experienced and kind nanny to start immediately.

They welcome applications from caring nannies who are ideally looking for a long term contract.

During the first year the family will also employ a night nurse, so your job will be to gently oversee her and work comfortably with her and the family.

This job is for someone looking for a long-term nanny job as the family understand the great importance of stability in a young child’s life so they are searching for a nanny who is looking for a family wanting long term employment.

They seek a nanny who can create a safe, nurturing and stimulating environment in which a child can thrive and develop. They want someone with old fashioned values and a gentle nature.

They look for someone who can offer good advice when needed, and also someone who can respect the choices the family make and support them when needed. Ideally you will have worked for a formal household before therefore understand protocol.

The house will be fully staffed, so you must be someone who gets on well with others and finds language barriers an exciting challenge and appreciates the benefits in such a different life experience.

The working week is 6 days, 12 hours per day. As mentioned you will be overseeing other nannies that are working and making sure that everything regarding the nursery runs smoothly for the family. You will need to be flexible and adapt to when changes happen in the family.

Responsibilities & duties:
• scheduling and coordinating child’s activities
• undertaking appropriate creative & educational activities with the child
• planning and supervising rest, bed and nap times
• reading to the child
• reinforcing appropriate discipline for the child
• implementing daily routines
• Create a stimulating, nurturing, and safe environment for the child
• Supervise the child’s activities at all times
• Potty training
• Administer medicine
• Newborn care (feeding, diapering, naptimes)
• Preparing bottles, cleaning up
• Cooking & meal planning for the child
• Supervising child’s meals
• Bathing and dressing child
• Helping with general hygiene
• Accompanying child to school and activities
• Organizing child’s play dates
• Assisting with language acquisition and development
• Providing developmentally appropriate educational games
• Teaching letters, numbers, and colours
• Teaching manners and other socially appropriate behaviour
• Doing arts and crafts
• Assisting with homework
• Taking children to parks and playgrounds
• Organizing sports and other motor-skills activities
• Taking child on special outings to museums and the zoo
• Doing child’s laundry
• Making child’s beds
• Tidying up child’s rooms and bathrooms
• Organizing and cleaning child’s play area
• Running errands for child

• Flexibility, adaptability, ability to multitask, emotional maturity, good judgment skills, planning and organizing skills, stress tolerance, high energy level

They spend their summers in Paris and Los Angeles and France in the winter.
You will be provided with your own private room and bathroom in the guest area of the luxury property.
