I am seeking an experienced Governor/Tutor/Companion to work with my client’s only child, her 8 year old son.

This is a summer job and will start mid-July till mid-September. The job will be working for a HNW family as they travel through Europe.

The ideal candidate will have a lot of experience working with boys of this age, possibly with SEN experience. Your job will be to help entertain, care for and be a companion for the boy over the summer. My client also employs nannies so you will be working as a part of a team.

My client seeks a Governor who is sporty and fit and possibly has a military background or a teaching background. She wants someone who thinks differently, someone who can engage her son in all types of learning, thinking and discussion from studying in books, to studying the stars or the various cultures and people you meet on your travels with the family. The boy is intelligent and possesses a wonderfully inquisitive mind and therefore we seek a Governor who can understand and encourage his development. You need to be able to develop a real friendship with this child whilst being his teacher and companion and identify what he enjoys about life and help educate his thoughts and interests.

It is important that you are both firm and strong but not be rigid and strict and that you have a kind hearted personality and some interesting creative talents.
Most importantly you must know how to have fun and help make this little boys summer one to remember.

My client is seeking a Governor who takes pride in his work and performs to a high standard and has a strong work ethic.
Work hours – 10-12 hours per day – however you will need to be flexible
The working week will either be 6 or 7 days depending on when you are required.
The weekly salary is £800 - £900 pw (negotiable)
Requirements
• Native English Speaking Person
• Military background or a qualified teacher preferred – however all candidates will be viewed on merit
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Creative, positive, outgoing person
