Tutor / Governess - Qatar

I am seeking Governess/Tutor/Companion to work with my client’s 7 year old son. The job will be working within a high profile fully staffed formal household in Qatar.
The ideal candidate will have a lot of experience working with boys of this age, possibly with SEN experience and can help this both both with his education and personal development. You must be committed to really making a difference in your charges life and have the skills and knowledge to do so.
My client is seeking someone who thinks outside differently, someone who can engage her son in all types of learning from studying in books, to studying the stars or the various cultures and people you meet on your travels with the family. The boy is intelligent and possesses a wonderfully inquisitive mind and therefore we seek a Governess who can understand and encourage his development. You need to be able to develop a real friendship with this child whilst being his teacher and companion and identify what he enjoys about life and help educate his thoughts and interests.
My client would like a Governess with a deep passion for inspiring greatness in young minds and and someone who has proven her success with previous students.
It is important that you are both firm and strong but not be rigid and strict and that you have a kind hearted personality and some interesting creative talents.
Through being a role model, you will teach and display correct etiquette and good manners.
My client would like to work in unison with you in creating a positive atmosphere for her son that is healthy for his development. She wants him to develop into a well-rounded and independent young man and this is where your role as teacher and companion will make a huge impact.
My client is seeking a Governess who takes pride in her work and performs to a high standard and has a strong work ethic.

Other duties will be to supervise staff in ensuring that the nursery is well maintained and cupboards/wardrobes are organised and tidy and clothes are in order. You will also get the child ready for school, continually develop his morning routine such as getting dressed and getting his bag ready for school, breakfast etc.
Initially you will be starting early in the mornings but there will be free time whilst the boy is at school.
My client is a good employer and the Governess will be looked after and respected within her household. She is looking to have someone stay with her long term and is looking for stability for her son to forge a wonderful friendship with his Governess. It is important that everyone is open to ideas and suggestions so that a mutual level of respect for one another is developed.

Conditions
• Working 6 afternoons per week with flexible hours
• The salary is £850 – 1000 per week
• Live out with fully furnished separate apartment in Doha
• 4 weeks fully paid holidays per year
• Visas and flights covered by employer

Requirements
• Start ASAP or September
• Native English Speaking Person
• Teaching qualification (B.Ed. or PGCE) –Preferred but all candidates viewed on merit
• Previous experience in a similar role preferred
• Creative, positive, outgoing person
